Head of Leasing & Property Management Retail Estates
What does the job entail?
As Head of Leasing & Property Management you are responsible for the coaching and supervising of the Leasing & Property team (which consists of five Leasing/Property Managers and five Back Office employees) in their daily operational tasks.
You will play a vital role in the commercialisation, the marketing, the management and daily upkeep of our real estate portfolio within Belgium. We put particular value in ensuring the attractiveness of the portfolio, tenant satisfaction, maintaining a high occupancy rate and maximising the value of the properties.
Here is a list of your responsibilities in concrete terms:
- You proactively steer the Property team that consists of 10 employees in total.
- You and the team are responsible for the commercialisation of the portfolio, the management and upkeep of tenant relationships.
- You and the team, together with other departments, take care of and monitor the inspection and maintenance of the buildings and retail parks.
- You keep a strict eye on the conformity of legal and regulatory provisions in close cooperation with the legal team.
- You are constantly looking out for new opportunities and ways to optimise the rental income within our portfolio.
- For marketing and event management purposes regarding our retail parks you steer and work closely together with our marketing and event manager.
- You will work with the ESG manager to further improve the sustainability of our portfolio in relation to our customers and in line with the ESG strategy.
- You will also ensure the accurate reporting of property-related information to the operational and financial teams and provide the necessary information and input for budgeting. • You will report directly to the CEO.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who recognises himself in the following competencies:
- You have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the commercialisation and management of shops and retail properties (preferably as Leasing Director, Expansion/Property Manager or Property Manager).
- In addition, you have at least 5 years of experience in a managerial position and are a true people manager.
- You show an interest in retail, real estate and its developments.
- In addition to a collegial and positive attitude, you have a strong work ethic.
- You are able to multitask and keep your priorities in mind when faced with a multitude of tasks. You therefore work in a structured manner.
- We are looking for a go-getter with an eagerness to learn and who is bursting with positive energy.
- Your communication style is to the point and you communicate fluently in Dutch, French and English.
- Customer friendliness and service orientation are of paramount importance to you.
- You are enthusiastic about a wide range of tasks with many different responsibilities and challenges.
